Antora Energy Banks $550M to Develop Largest Battery Storage Projects in the U.S.

Antora Energy secured a $550 million Series C funding round to accelerate the deployment of large-scale thermal battery storage solutions across the U.S.

The funding comes just a few months after deploying its Project Big Stone, as one of the world’s largest battery storage projects located in South Dakota; the 5GWh system was brought online in less than a year from the initial build.

Antora Energy has raised over $750 million in funding to date, according to VC funding data tracked by Green Tech Post.  

The latest Series C funding round attracted a consortium of VC firms. Eclipse and G2 Venture Partners led the Series C round with participation from Ribbit Capital, Activate Capital, Salesforce Ventures, Westly Group, John Doerr, StepStone Group, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, Impact Science Ventures, Decarbonization Partners, Trust Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Lowercarbon Capital.
